the one tree hill connection No. 18

It’s all about the guests in the 18th edition of the One Tree Hill Connection Podcast. The third episode of season six of One Tree Hill showed the residents grieving for basketball star Quentin Fields, who was tragically killed. A pair of “Artist Alley” segments with Matthew Ryan and Civil Twilight and a “Behind the Scenes of One Tree Hill” segment with Lindsay Wolfington highlights this episode of the podcast. Matthew Ryan talks about composing the music for 6×03, Lindsay Wolfington dissects all the music of the third episode of season six, and we introduce the band Civil Twilight to the fans of One Tree Hill as they make their first appearance on the show with the song for the coda “Quiet in My Town.”

And a special thanks to the band Stephen Kellogg and the 6ers whose song “4th of July” is the new official opening song for the One Tree Hill Connection Podcast. Check them out on their myspace page.

Keep an eye out for a special edition of the One Tree Hill Connection Podcast on September 17 with an EXCLUSIVE interview with Joe Manganiello who plays Owen on One Tree Hill. The podcast helps celebrate the return of his character Owen to One Tree Hill and also his appearance on the show “Til Death” on September 17.

One Tree Hill 6×03 Get Cape Wear Cape Fly is a beautiful episode. Loved Brooke, Nathan, Haley, Jamie and Skills.
‘Quiet In My Town’ is a beautiful song especially in the scene with Brooke and Jamie which is the most beautifully heartbreaking scene in One Tree Hill since Brooke and Lucas’ fight in the dressing room in 3×22. Sophia and Jackson stole my heart in the episode. I especially loved the title.
Quentin is a favourite character of mine so it broke my heart to see him die but I think it was beautifully handled.
I cried more in ‘Get Cape Wear Cape Fly’ than in ‘Who Will Survive And What Will Be Left Of Them’ when Keith Scott died.
And I Loved Keith. Just wish Brooke and Quentin could’ve known eachother before he died. I bet he would’ve had a crush on her.

‘Quiet In My Town’ is a beautiful song especially in Brooke and Jamie’s heartbreakingly beautiful scene. Sophia Bush is a talented actress I will continue to follow her work after ‘One Tree Hill’. ‘Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly’ is my favourite episode in ‘One Tree Hill’. Mark totally re-wrote the Brucas deleted scene in ‘Who Will Survive And What Will Be Left Of Them’ and give it to Leyton.

  3. Amanda Says:

Beautifully Heartbreaking – I like it because it describes Brooke and Jamie’s scene so well. I fell in love with Quentin last season he is my favourite new edition to the cast. Quentin give something extra entertaining to Lucas’ coaching scenes. I hope they introduce a new basketball character as a regular but he will never replace Quentin in my heart.
