Simon Baillie from the band La Rocca is the first of two guests in an “Artist Alley” segment in the 19th edition of The One Tree Hill Connection Podcast. Simon talks about the band’s song “Paris” featured on the fourth episode of season six of One Tree Hill, their new album debuting September 30 and heading out on tour. The podcast will also have a review of episode four of season six and bonus “Artist Alley” segment with Meiko, whose song “Said and Done” is also featured on this week’s episode.

I’m really excited that you are going to release your new album because i discovered you thanks to One Tree Hill, and since i listen you in continuous loop without get bored me and since i discover your new song Paris, I’m even more impatient to listen your new album Ok Okay. My favorite song is Non Believer, I had the blow of lightning for this song since I heard it. It is my all time favorite song, the solo in piano gives me shiver every time.

I felt curiosity from the first chapter I heard you, but you totally had me with Non Believer. I instantly fell in love with that song, that beggining so particular… Everytime I listen the song, it cheer me up ^^

Once again, I discovered La Rocca thanks to One Tree Hill.
My favourite song at the moment is “Roadway Hymn”. Everything about it is amazing. The lyrics, instrumentals and voals. It’s just a really amazing and inspiring song. My favourite song changes daily.
Can’t wait to hear the new album because of the songs. I feel like I really need some good, inspirational music right now. I’ve had kind of a hard time lately and I know that the songs will cheer me up.

Hi! I haven’t listened to the latest podcast yet, but I have listened to some of the older ones and love it! I’m a big fan of La Rocca, especially their song “Non Believer” that was a big part of the episode in Season 4 after Lucas had his heart attack. I can’t wait to listen to the newest podcast and hear about their new album!
I really like La Rocca. Whenever their songs were introduced to One Tree Hill, they were so great and so motivational. They was One Tree Hill used their music added so much emotion to many of the episodes. Their songs, well spoke to me in a way that I really can’t explain. I first heard them on One Tree Hill and thought “who is this band singing this song?” so I looked it up, and it was La Rocca. I was amazed. This band is amazing, and I’m sure a lot of you can agree. I’m very excited for their upcoming album. I’m sure it will be just as great as their others, if not better.

Here is Audrey from Bordeaux, France. As many of you I discover La Rocca hearing “non beliver” in One Tree Hill season4 episode 10.
This is now my favourite song for 4 months.Indeed 4 months ago I made a trip to Canada, it was the first time I leaved Europe, the first time I took a long flight from Bordeaux to London and then from London to Canada. I was supposed to be an au pair in a family I just knew a little from email. So I felt kind of confused when I landed in London with all this stuff in english, and the beginning of my very first adventure far away from my home, family&friends.
So I was in the bus between London Gatwick and London Heathrow airport, listing my ipod when suddenly this was “Non Believer”. Of course I liked it when I heared it on One Tree Hill but for the very first time it really took a sens to me.
And it brings me trust, hope & inspiration, just what I needed right at this moment.
And since this day it brings me this feelings back every single time I hear it again.
Just hearing your new song Paris, make me think what a great album “OK Okay” will be!Can’t wait for it!
So yes,it is a fact La Rocca rocks

Loved this weeks podcast! Just want to comment on Peyton, I agree she had a look when the comment was made about all great love being “messy”. I think it was more of a knowing look though. She and Lucas have had a very “messy” past and will probably continue to encounter problems…it is a drama afterall. I hope thats all it was, a look of complete understanding of how messy love can be.
La rocca has great sound! Remember them from season 4 so it’s great to have more songs for season 6. Really liked the new song.

One thing that I like most about OTH is that it promotes awesome artists and music. Every time I hear a song that I like I run to the computer and look it up. I first heard nonbeliever on OTH and began to fall in love with it,then I began listening other songs from LaRocca. Currently my fave song at the moment is This Life. I love the lyrics:
“And it’s the same for you and it’s the same for me
But I’m not here alone now and I think you’d agree
That if we’d met later, I’d never have seen this life”
every time I feel bummed I just crank it up. It makes me remember that things happen for a reason and in the end things work out for the best.
So thanks OTH for backing up great artist and thanks LaRocca for the music, I’m looking forward to the new album.

My first La Rocca song was Non believer thanks to “One tree hill” ! And I just fell in love with the song and melody !! I just watched the same episode all the time.
Since I live in France I went to a shop and bought “The truth” imported !! And it is one of my favorite albums !!
I really thank OTH for all the different bands, and I’m excited to discover a lot more !!
