Your analysis on LP in S5 and throughout the seasons was fantastic. I loved listening to it all. You hit everything right on target and it was perfect <3. I mean EVE-RY-THING.
Lucas in S6 is fantastic. How he acted after he found out about Julian showed that he really grew up. He accepted it and knew he didn’t need to worry or feel “not good enough.” Because Peyton loved him and that’s all that mattered.
I also think the book signing played a great effect on his actions in S5. He felt he could write a whole book about his love for her and even then it wasn’t even good enough to hear that she was proud of him. And that’s all he wanted. To be good enough for her. He had made his heart vulnerable for the 4th or so time and here he is thinking that she didn’t even come. I think this moment made him feel that no matter what he did he could never be good enough for her.
And I also think he needed that grand gesture. He needed to know she loved him. Throughout the seasons we mainly see Lucas showing his love more for Peyton than the other way around. I’m not saying that he loved her more, just that he proved his love for her more than she did.
He had gotten his heart broken by her many times. He had risked his life for her 3 times. He had written 2 books about his love for her. I think he really needed this. To see how much she loved him and to see her vulnerable and to know she really did love him and to know that he was good enough for her.
You crack me up LOL.
“Some people may have problems with me saying this. Some people may be…the…you know supporter of another relationship…errr…ship…well…Brooke…whatever.” haha
It was PROVEN from the PILOT. Luke’s heart was always with Peyton and it always would be. It’s ALWAYS been there. It’s ALWAYS gonna be there. Everyone else should GET OVER IT. Thank You.
Thanks for your podcasts! I really enjoy them. Love the Brandan Kirsch interview!
Great podcast, Denise. Loved the Luke review. You make me laugh.
