Great podcast Denise! 6.13 was a great imo and I guess Michael Leone had a lot to do with that. Great to discover Rosi Golan and her song "Been a Long Day" through this episode too. Enjoyed your interview with her as well. Thank you!

Thanks to everyone for your kind words about this podcast. This was one of my favorite podcasts to do and I am glad everyone enjoyed it.

Micheal Leone was gracious enough to take time out of his busy schedule to be interviewed on this podcast and I am glad everyone enjoyed it. I hope to include even more commentaries from directors and writers in the future.

Meanwhile in the next two weeks keep a look out for interviews with Joe Manganiello and Lisa Goldstein who plays Millie. Also, next week everyone will get a chance to win a signed autograph photo by Joe Manganiello.

Wow, I had a very great day - but finishing it listening your podcast was the better way to end it! I already start to listen some of your podcast but I never take the time to listening it enterely. But tonight, I had the time, I mean, I start to listen and the more I listen the bigger my smile was, I had to take the time.
I am also a big Peyton/LP fan, and I really share your feelings about all this LP pregnancy, you really found the right words to describe it in your review and I can "see" your smile through your voice! If being happy for those two characters that you know are not real but that you follow for a long time makes you being weird, so I think there are a lot of people who are weird all around this world and I am one of those too.
The interview with Michael Leone was really interresting, learning more on behind the scene through the eyes of one of the crew member, well I loved that. Plus, I liked the way he spoke about his experience has a director, he seems to be really awesome.
I think you will guess that, but you really can count me in your regular listener in the future!
Can't wait for the next episode & your next podcast!

Excellent podcast, Denise.

I want to give a big thank you to Mike Leone for the things he bought to the coda scene of 6.13--I'm surprised to hear that the "tummy kiss" was unscripted because I thought it was a throwback to the episode in season one, "Crash Course in Polite Conversation" (1.12)---but since it wasnt, I'm eternally grateful for the addition of the rose and the "tummy kiss", the scene would have been so bare without it. I havent been able to stop watching that scene in youtube because its so beautiful and touching and best we've seen from Chad and Hilarie. Major props to everyone involved in the making of that scene.

Great podcast, Denise!

And I just wanted to say that Mr. Leone did an excellent job! The last Lucas and Peyton scene is probably one of the most magical things I have ever seen... Not even a minute long, with probably four lines of dialogue, it was everything and more. The look in their eyes, the softness of their face, warmest smiles and pure adoration for one another. I believe I watched it like million times.

Amazing writing, acting and directing. Thank you.

I only just recently started to listen to these podcasts...AMAZING job, Denise! I really like the interviews that give us a peek into the Tree Hill world by crew members. And of course the ep. reviews are great; hilarious, interesting, and insightful. :-) I'm definitely going to keep listening!

I too am first-and-foremost a Peyton fan and adore the LP relationship; so any moment to squee about them is awesome lol!! I'm still fan-girling as I type so you are definitely not alone! All the little moments with Peyton throughout the epi where she'd talk to the baby or touch her tummy were just too sweet for words. I nearly died when she told Luke about the baby; the emotion displayed by both Chad and Hilarie was spot on...they killed that scene!

And I have to say that Michael Leone is my fave director for this show EVER! Everything in the episode was great and flowed/showed emotion in a really wonderful way, but that last scene...left me speechless. Best moment between any couple expecting a baby I have ever seen on my TV screen. And to hear about how the emotion was pulled out of the actors, the add-ins of the rose and tummy kiss...wow. Just wow...

EVERYTHING came together for that last scene: writing, music, lighting, acting, directing. I think I'm gonna go watch it again lol!

Thank you for the podcast Denise! I really appreciate your dedication. I'm also a huge Peyton Sawyer/LP fan and last night's episode was beyond extraordinary. So breathtaking, right?! After following their story after so many years and seeing them overcome so much, seeing them so...blissful really felt amazing and even felt somewhat personal. While sometimes the fan-base can become overly critical and pessimistic with good cause, I don't accept any negativity this time.

Once in a while the acting, directing, music and dialogue fit just right to make a magical scene and that last Lucas/Peyton scene certainly was a perfect example. I really want to thank Michael Leone for being so attentive and dedicating. Hopefully, he will have more chances to direct.

Denise, thank you for another great podcast!
can't believe it's been nearly 10 months since i listened to the very first one. I remember when you were just throwing the idea around and mentioned it to us on OTHBlog. Time flies!
and you've taken it so far already- well done!

Michael, thank you for directing such an amazingly beautiful episode...and moments, for Lucas and Peyton!
Both scene's were fantastic and well acted, but WOW, that last scene...
I was speechless and teary eyed!Chad and Hilarie absolutely blew it out of the water! truly capturing the love between them.
It really felt like amazing, to see them so blissfully happy after the long LP journey over the last 6 years. I really hope we continue to see more LP happiness, they really deserve it!

thank you again.

I loved this podcast! It was great to get insight to the behind the scenes of making such a wonderful episode. Michael Leone is brilliant! I just read what Denise said about the "tummy kiss" and seriously it was what all of the fans had been waiting for...:) Thank you for helping create such fantasic episode of One Tree Hill.

Denise - it was so cool listening to your review of the episode. I could hear the smilies in your voice when you talked about Lucas and Peyton. It was like reliving watching the episode...but with commentary!

I had to look up Rosi Golan as I listened...and I discoved her website. I can't wait to hear her song that is featured next week, and later this month she has a song on Ghost Whisperer...which I also watch so I'll be listening for that as well.

Michael should direct more episodes. He really brought out the best in LP/Chad and Hilarie. The last moment between Lucas and Peyton was simply amazing. That few seconds of the tummy kiss made the whole scene. Great job! More please :)

This was my favorite Podcast yet, Denise! Great Job!! And don't worry I'm a huge "Fangirl" right along with you...you are definitely not alone. I liked the Rosi Golan interview...her songs are beautiful and "Been A Long Day" was just breathtaking as the Coda.

Michael Leone...Dude you are my new favorite person. You are the man partly responsible for my favorite LP moment EVER. And that's saying a lot, cause there are some amazing ones. You did a fantastic job and made a lot of fan's very, very happy. I hope this isn't the last episode we see with you as director.

Peyton so rocked that Haha.
Your best podcast yet! It was just beautiful :)
Finally you know? They're finally a family...with each other. It's what they've always wanted. It's what they've always dreamed of.

And as much as I LOVEEE screw the world/badasss Peyton haha. The woman who she is now, is just so inspiring. She really is one of the most inspiring characters on any television show or movie I have ever seen. And it's because of Lucas Scott. If it weren't for him she wouldn't be the person she is today. He believed in her and let her believe in herself. He taught her how to love and how to be loved. He's Lucas Scott! The boy wrote 2 whole books about how much he loved her! He gave up heaven to tell her he loved her. It truly is an epic love story.

It gives you such a good feeling watching the Pilot and then watching an episode like this. They have come so far. It's an epic love story that's been told throughout the whole show. Lucas and Peyton have ALWAYS been there. And they ALWAYS will be :)
