Great interview with Amanda. I loved Sarah on the show and I really wish she wasn’t dead. Clay and Sarah are great together.
And I too love Joe Purdy. Have been listening to him for a few years. If you have watched Hilarie’s movie, The Secret Life of Bees then you might have noticed that his song “Mary” was in it. He is a great singer-songwriter. Check out “Mary May and Bobby”, “Easier”, and “I Love the Rain the Most”, just a few of my favorites.Love him.
Y’alls commentary was great. I loved how you vented your frustrations about Brulian Denise. I am kinda annoyed by them too. Though I don’t mind them, I just find them overplayed. I think you are on to something Denise about Brooke not being able to have kids. I have read one side that would go along with your theory and I thought the same thing. I don’t really want to see that arc and have Brulian be the “it” couple of the next half. Snooze-fest. Love this podcast. I always have something great to listen to after my World Lit class, haha! Looking forward to next week!
Great podcast. I definitely agree that this is the first episode this season that I really enjoyed..AND Brooke and Julian should not have been there..but, other than that..AMAZING music, James did great directing, everyone did awesome acting and the Clay/Sarah story definitely shocked me.

Loved the interview with Amanda. The whole time I was watching this episode I was wondering what else I had seen her in. So of course I imdb – ed her (haha) and discovered she was also recently in a movie that aired on Lifetime called Soriety Wars. funny thing is it aired a few weeks ago but I just had watched it on my DVR the Saturday before this episode aired.
I loved the whole Clay Sarah stuff. This was totally the best episode of OTH so far this year. I’m with you PD – its been kind of hard and just not the same show anymore. Stephanie pointed out how this episode just reminded us of old OTH, through voice overs or whatever…but it worked.
It is a shame Amanda can’t be a regular. I would have much rather had her character than either of the other two new girls on the show.
Amanda is great, she also was the main character in Center Stage!! LOVE HER!! Love OTH!!!!!!!!!!

I’m shocked the season 6 finale is the favorite episode of you too though. I mean don’t get me wrong I am a Leytoner all the way and I know how great it was they got their happy ending but this was no way near the best episode in my opinion. I actually disliked most of season 6. Its funny that the two seasons where Leyton were togehter are my two least favorite seasons. The episodes just werent up to par with the rest of the seasons IMO!
