The One Tree Hill Podcast is excited to announce the special segment “Drinkin’ With Grubbs” to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Frappes, lattes, smoothies, juice, to shots you name it!
Mike Grubbs, who plays everyone’s favorite singer/bartender Grubbs and is the lead singer of Wakey!Wakey!, will be the guest on the podcast for March 15. The segment will include what everyone thinks is the best drink for each One Tree Hill character. In honor of this special podcast, Family Records and the One Tree Hill Podcast have joined together for a “Drinkin’ With Grubbs” contest. To enter, just post why you think you should be “Drinkin’ With Grubbs.”
The winner, which we will pick on March 10, will get a SWAG Bag and will also have Mike talk about the winner and why they said they should be drinking with us.

I should be drinking with Grubbs because I think he needs a shoulder to lean on, someone to listen to him and show him that he doesn’t need a girl to be exceptional.
i think i should be picked to drink with Grubbs because, i think he’s the humor in the show that makes emotional episodes easier to watch. and even though he hasn’t had much acting experience he knows enough to make the character believable. he gives an honest performance and because he’s a musician playing a musician is the perfect role for him. he is one of the main reasons i want a season 8. because i would like to see Grubbs transition from a bartender, to headlining musician. and also his relationship with Miranda is really funny! and the show definitely needs comic relief when we have emotional episodes like the last one.
Oh Grubbsy! Him and I would have such a grand time together. I would love to drink with Grubbs because he is such an amazing person. He’s smart, intuitive, personable and not afraid to come up to a fan and just pick up a conversation out of no where. Grubbs has great taste in music and would steal my heart is he ever covers, “Vienna” by Billy Joel. But it’s far more than just a characterization of the man he. It’s what he does with his talents as well. He has such a large talents and gets such joy when sharing that with everyone. And you don’t find many people in the world anymore who have that honesty and innocence about them and their music. And yet, more than that he has brought such believability to his character and to the show. Sometimes storylines get lost in translation but not with Grubbs. It’s real and honest, and there is nothing to hide. He gives us laughs, like full-belly ones, and he gives us serious moments to in which we are forced to reflect on ourselves and the line Shakespeare made famous, “to thine own self be true.” Finally, I love that his character is really not all that different from the man outside of the show. It’s all those qualities and so many more why I would want to ‘drink with Grubbs.’ Heck, I’d take eating with him or jamming with him too!
PPS: Off the record, I’d love for think of choice of Austin/Julian to be Wild Turkey Bourbon. I think it’d be hysterical!

I should be drinking with Grubbs because I’m gonna need something to do while I drown my sorrows during this hiatus. And because the waiting game on a possible season 8 is making my stomach turn and Grubbs needs to hand me something quick. I don’t care if it’s Pepto -Bismol.

Haha I would LOVE to drink with him because he is such an amazing talent! Very quickly Mike Grubbs/Wakey!Wakey! became one of my favorite musicians/bands. His character on OTH is also very amiable for his relaxing nature and the comedic relief he brings to the show. I’m such a HUGE OTH fan and music enthusiast that to be able to pick Grubbs’ talented brain would be nothing short of AMAZING! Grubbs quickly captured the hearts of OTH fans this season, so I mean honestly, who wouldn’t want to drink with Grubbs? Oh and Grubbs can you guess my drink? Perhaps a red headed s***?! haha

I should be drinking with Grubbs because I’ve got some Grubbs in me (and I’m not talking facial hair either)! I’ve got a great sense of what kind of drinks people like–I can tell the beer girls from the fruity cocktail girls, the wine-os from the single-malt scotchers, etc.
I love myself a good drink and I love to sing! So Grubbs, if you’re reading this, let’s knock back a few, grab a mic and take on the world!!!

I would be the best choice to drink with Grubbs because:
1) I would dazzle him all night with my limerick capabilities
2) I am a musician so we could jam or karaoke to the song of his liking
3) I would come ready and armed with many a variety of drinking games
4) I could braid his beard. Because after all, you haven’t lived until you’ve had your beard braided by some random drinking buddy!
5) I can throw a mean tomato and would be an excellent partner in a tomato fight
Seriously, I need to be drinkin’ with Grubbs, because without new episodes of One Tree Hill until 4/26, my Monday nights are not only filled with free time galore, but are depressing to boot. Drowning my sorrows with One Tree Hill’s most talented and hilarious new character would definitely ease the pain.
I should be drinkin with Grubbs because I live far away (Argentina) and I keep watching the show since wan on air! Never stopping. The distance is nothing for a true fan… And, who wouldnt drink something with Grubbs? He’s the favorite bartender of all the times!

I think I should be drinkng with grubbs because I think hes such a loveable charactor he makes me laugh in his video casts plus I think he is an amazing muscision and I have only got to see snippets online about him as I live in scotland so wll have to wait to the summer to appreciate him fully in his role and not just for his music. I am literally so excited and I cant even count down because E4 have released no dates for when one tree hill will be on. I have some friends in America who say he is awesome and keep teasing me that they have seen the show and its so good and I am so jelouse. It would definetly make my day to drink with grubbs.

I should be drinking with grubbs because I own all of the seasons of one tree hill and he is my favorite character by far, he reminds me a lot of my older brother who I don’t see a lot, and it would be amazing to have the chance to get to know grubbs. OTH. -out
I should have drinks with Grubbs because I am a huge fan of One Tree Hill, but also a huge fan of his band, Wakey!Wakey! Grubbs is one of my favorite characters, because he makes me laugh (especially the subtle scene where after Hayley, Nathan and Jamie were sitting at the bar, and he walked by behind them adding tomatoes off his shirt to his Bloody Mary). He’s the kind of bartender that you always want when you need a drink. He’s the one who gives you exactly what you need when you need it, whether it’s a stiff drink or someone to talk to. He also seems like the kind of guy who might need someone to talk to himself. And if I was on the other side of the bar, I would listen.
Grubbs and I have alot in common! I love playing the bartender at parties and get-togethers with my family and friends! It takes a special person with an awesome talent to do what Grubbs does on OTH!
P.S. I literally can “Drink with Grubbs” because Im officially 21today!
I’ll drink with Grubbs for him to learn French and I tell him what I like to drink while singing! Then as we say in France “more if affinity”! =)

I should be drinkin’ with Grubbs because whenever he’s on One Tree Hill, I’m happy. His character is one of those small roles with a big background. He makes everyone feel better and his skills are amazing. From his humor to his predictions to his amazing voice. Those small scenes of his have something big in them. We learn more about him each scene he’s in. I love his scenes. Though i’m not legal yet, I need Grubbs to tell me what’s the best drink for me! Latte? Cafe Mocha? Cappuccino? Smoothie? Life is confusing sometimes.
I have FINALLY turned 21 and somehow feel as if my life is going to drastically change because of this. Grubb’s is a pretty cool guy and I feel like he would add a little something to my drinking experience. I think this is definitely a necessary accomplishment… my life will not move forward without saying “cheers” with Grubbs. I think that should be pondered for a while

I have watched every single episode multiple times and would love to get a chance to be on set and meet the whole cast and crew that puts a smile on my face every Monday night. haha, I am totally too late, but I love my reason. I should drink with Grubbs because, during his live show in Wilmington, I dropped my camera into the stage….and I had to wait for someone to get it out with a hanger after. It was traumatic, and I really needed a drink after that, but I was driving. hahahhaa.
