Just listened to the podcast and I have to ask..

Stephanie….how did you tolerate all the crappy side character storylines in season 6 (owen, mouth/gigi, skills/lauren) and you call that the best season yet you hate season 7? I know you are a Leyton fan but so am I and i think season 6 is HORRIBLE. I dont get how you hate s7? lol

  2. Stephanie Says:

    Hey JeniLee,

I totally get what you are saying, but I felt like those fit more. And maybe I’m feeling like Quinn and Clay are side characters too, cause I’m not really feeling like they should be considered main characters… maybe that is it??

How about why you don’t like season 6???

  3. JeniLee Says:

Thats true. But I got the impression that Quinn and Clay were brought on as new main characters (as semi-replacements of Peyton and Lucas).

I mean dont get me wrong I hate side character stuff…I hate Grubbs Miranda the most which you guys dont seem to hate. I love Grubbs and Wakey Wakey but WASTE of screentime. Chase and Mia are also a waste, as they were in season 6.

I think the difference for me is that I see Q and C as main series regulars now. I do think B N and H should get more scenes, however I think thats something that kinda needs to be voices to Mark and co! :-)

Season 6 BORED me. I love Leyton dont get me wrong. But ugh. First off Chad’s ep. It was hard to stay awake. Terrible. The storylines were just so blah in the whole season! The Mouth Millie Gigi stuff was dumb, Haley barely got a storyline besides getting fired. There were eps I loved…the house arrest one of Leyton. Hilarious. Loved Leyton’s wedding. Thought the season finale was kinda a letdown. Chase Mia were another reason to hate the season. Just overall a very “i dont care” season.

I think I just tend to base my liking of seasons on the storylines, not based on my favorite couples. Leyton is my fave couple however season 4 and 6 are my least faves. 3 and 1 are my faves followed by 2. I hated Felix and Anna but overall that season had great storylines. Naley’s marriage drama with Haley on tour. Lucas pining for Brooke (the build up was amazing and even made me, a Leyton fan, interested), Peyton’s drug storyline along with Jake. I am a Jeyton fan too just not as big as I am a Leyton fan! Brooke grew up a lot this season which I also liked. So many stand out eps. Dare Night, the one where the girls have a slumber party. This was also where Nate and Lucas really started to bond which I enjoyed!

Ok this comment is way longer than it needed to be LOL rant over!

Cant wait to listen to your finale review tomorrow on the way to work! Hope you didnt bash Quinn and Clay too much :-) I actually dont mind them. Well Clay i like more than her but I dont mind her! I think I and you guys would like them better as a couple if they had more build up. I do agree it was too fast!
